A fire and smoke curtain refers to a system that prevents the spread of fire in a building and the dangers associated with it such as heat flow, smoke, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide gases, etc. The fire and smoke resistant curtains from Raman Fidar Structure are among the latest smart systems and are designed to withstand fire for up to 120 minutes. By containing the fire at its origin, they provide sufficient time for building evacuation and firefighting efforts to prevent further risks and damages.

Holding a technical certificate from the Road, Housing, and Urban Development Research Center

This curtain consists of a roller, a fire-resistant fabric, a motor, and side guides that open, all housed in a galvanized steel enclosure. It operates completely automatically, deploying by gravity and weight when the fire alarm system is activated, even in the event of a power failure.
The system includes a motor, a planetary gear drive, and control systems with a microprocessor. The microprocessor controls the system's position during retraction and independently adjusts the closing speed to a maximum of 0.15 meters per second (6 inches per second). Additionally, the enclosure is equipped with special reinforced brackets that maintain the system's integrity at high temperatures.

Resistance up to 1100 degrees Celsius

One of the components of the fire and smoke curtain system is its fabric. These fabrics are designed to resist fire up to a temperature of 1100°C. The fire-resistant curtain from Raman Fidar Structure is certified according to standards and has passed a fire resistance test for up to 120 minutes by the Road, Housing, and Urban Development Research Center. The stitching of the fire-resistant fabric is done using special threads that comply with UL standards, and these threads have resistance similar to that of the fabric.
